The Lovebird is a small parrot.They are very active and acrobatic. They are escape artists and all openings out of their cage must be secured. Lovebirds are slightly smaller than Cockatiels and larger than a Budgie. Contrary to popular belief, Lovebirds do not have to be kept in pairs. If you are unable to show them alot of attention, it might be a good idea to buy a companion bird. It is hightly recommended that you buy a hand-fed lovebird. These are easier to tame.
